The John Healy Weekend 2013

In a career that spanned over 40 years from his first £1-a-week job at the Western People, John Healy became one of the most prominent figures in Irish journalism. He is credited with changing the nature of political reporting through his infamous ‘Backbencher’ column. John had many publications to his name amongst them “Nineteen Acres” and “Nobody Shouted Stop – The Death of an Irish Town” and spent many years writing articles for numerous publications, including The Irish Times and Sunday Review.

The fifth annual John Healy Weekend will be held from Thursday 7th November 2013 through until Saturday 9th November 2013 in The Town Hall Arts Centre, Charlestown.
